I agree with you Dennis in that the whole story has to be told. From my mothers’ families’ side of things it is being told. Nothing has been shared from the side of the leadership of AIM or Leonard Peltier except for silence and now lies and excuses. They have never contacted our family in 35 years nor have they taken any responsibility in their complicity but to make excuses and support my mothers’ murderers.
Many have assumed that because they were reading about my mother and watching movies made 20 years ago or earlier that they were up to speed in the events surrounding my mothers’ murder. I can now confidently say they were not. Because we sat in silent mourning for many years with no answers our selves, with only suspicions based on what our mother told us the last time we saw her, most of what you have read was probably very biased and one sided.
I cannot express here the devastation our family felt to learn that not only were our suspicions correct but that there was a conspiracy that lasted almost 28 years that involved dozens of people my mother believed were her friends to hide the truth from being exposed. It was the actions of several people who could no longer live with the guilt anymore who exposed the truth that my mother was murdered by AIM members.
I got confirmation of this truth directly from AIM members which was then further confirmed when we went to trial. I can tell you that our family has no loyalties to anyone else but my mother and has no reason but to speak the truth. We are not protecting anyone or trying to keep ourselves from being indicted. Even until recently the only individuals who had written books or made movies were those with direct knowledge or connection with those who were involved in my mother’s murder. Our family has done two documentaries in the last 10 years, one for CBC and one for NFB and has not written or endorsed any books.
SO I would encourage you to contact me directly or ask your questions here and I will answer them as best I can. Our family has never denied that there wasn’t corruption occurring on all levels back during that era when my mother was murdered. Her murderers and their accomplices (the AIM leadership and Leonard Peltier) and their supporters have gone from stating that; the FBI shot my mother; to they knew nothing about her murder but the FBI shot her; to they knew nothing about her murder but knew enough to support her murderers and that I am a fed; to most recently now that the truth has been exposed, the fbi made them shoot her, or that there was an infiltrator and that I am still a fed.
Our family though aware of the injustices that our communities suffer from everyday at the hands of the colonizers WILL NOT use the fbi or anyone else as an excuse to sugar coat the fact that aim members acting on aim leadership orders murdered one of their own women and then lied about it for 36 years and are currently publically supporting her murderer John Graham. That in itself breaks so many traditional laws and IF the cowards who did this to my mother were the traditional warriors they claim to be, this would have been handled 36 years ago.
YES all those that were involved need to be held accountable, and will be if I have anything to do with it. BUT going after the conspirators before the murderers and accomplices is backwards and won’t accomplish anything but delays, say like, a 36 year delay. I have heard a lot in the last while about infiltrators and my challenge to those who are making such claims is bring it, speak your truth, and show the evidence. Not rumor and gossip that you have heard from those involved in my mothers’ murder but proof.
I invite all those who have evidence that the FBI were involved directly or that there was an infiltrator involved in my mother’s murder to step forward and speak their truth. But understand this, though there are some who are hoping real hard to be able to stick it to the feds by proving the feds knew or peripherally were involved in my mother’s murder and it may bring them comfort in being able to say “see I told you so”, that will do little to excuse or justify the betrayal and responsibility of those my mother committed her life to, and considered family and friends, in the kidnapping, interrogating, beating, executing and dumping of her body on the side of the road like an animal.
People talk a lot about hate, division, and conspiracy, there is your hate, what they did to my mother, is incomprehensible. Nothing would have been spiritually easier and more expected for some than to be able to prove that the FBI murdered my mother as AIM leadership and my mother’s murderers lied about for over two decades. BUT to have those who have now been proven in 4 trials, that resulted in 2 convictions, a guilty plea and an acquittal, to be directly involved in her murder use the feds as their scapegoat without acknowledging their complicity? is incredibly repugnant, disgusting and cowardly.
While the AIM leadership and Leonard will reinvent themselves and take on the causes of the day to garner support and popularity to appear that they have moral scruples I will continue to speak the truth. And if necessary after me so will my children and my nation until this is dealt with and the WHOLE truth is exposed. IF there was any infiltrator involvement then the AIM leadership must have had proof, and the fact that they CHOSE to lie and hide that fact till now to avoid having to take responsibility in the fact that they murdered one of their own women, speaks volumes to their moral integrity.
I have no loyalties but to that of my mother and nation, and clearly my mother’s murderers have run out of time and lies, I am not associated with the FBI in anyway, I am not a fed, a pig, or FBI pawn. The fact that all my mothers murderers and their supporters can do to defend themselves is to engage in a bad jacketing campaign against me and my mothers supporters ( not unlike the one they set my mother up with) should be a big eye opener to the public. I am the daughter of a murder victim who actually did what my mother taught me was my right in demanding unconditional truth.
I don’t have money, fancy lawyers, badges, flags to wave, or clubs to back me up, just the plain and simple truth and a handful of what I consider to be human being who recognize truth when they see it. For me and my nation that is enough. My mother’s truth is now known, whether people accept it or not is their cross to bear.
I have been conservative with comments up to this point, with this Blog entry. People can put on, as much duct tape and band aids or even change the brand name of AIM. It is what it is.
I will “never” shore up with People who Excuse Murdering Rapist Liars, that hijacked the Lakota Spiritual Legacy and continue to conduct ceremony with the blood of innocents on their hands .

Aug23, 2012: It is obvious the Reynolds did a fantastic job with preserving, to the best of their ability , the lands that were titled to them because of boundaries initiated on this continent. For so long they kept the footprint of commercialization off of those lands and have now elected, for the guardianship , to change hands.
There is no doubt entities, the Reynolds Family warded off for so many years, are pushing to gain a stronghold, to exploit the spirituality that resides within. The sad part, some of those entities are now cloaked within the Nations of Ancestry the Reynolds Family strived to protect.

Aug23, 2012: Since early July 2012, the Chairman of SMSC, Mr. Stanley Crooks was working with Rosebud Sioux Tribe President Rodney Bordeaux for an auction bid proposal. The Mdewakanton Sioux Tribe’s Community gaming (SMSC), in 2010 and 2011 alone, gave to outside of their community, 100 million plus to donations and funding.
Why was the global community led to believe the Lakota Nation needed financial help? Those in NDN country that know of Mr. Crooks accomplishments , understand the purchase of Pe Sla was a done deal as soon as SMSC sat at the table. (SMSC OutReach Page)
There was no need for LRI to start a money raising petition at the witching hour, 14 days before the auction. This is such a typical give now, or forever miss your chance scam.
When one compares the above news release from indianz.com to the statements made by Chase Iron Eyes of Lastrealindians and AIM Affiliates to gain support for their “money” raising petition, it is obvious their call for assistance is based on deceptive comments and a self serving mentality.
It’s an insult to the global community for using deception and environmental fear mongering comments within their request and definitely not necessary to gain public support. The character and mentality of “their” presentation should raise flags as to whether or not “they” are worthy to be representing the Lakota , or any other Nation, especially when “they” do_not make the global community aware of the other Nations who hold ceremonial connections to Pe`Sla. In doing so, “they” display their all me mentality, “it is mine.”

Aug23, 2012: Initially the global community was told the request for money, was for Auction Bids of tracts up for sale within Pe`Sla, auction date Aug 25, 2012. Their petition goal of 1million dollars is well short of the 6-10 million needed to be a successful high bid for purchase of all tracts or one tract alone.
Five days before the auction, new reasons for the Petition, are assigned. Not mentioned on the petitions main page, but tucked away on the petition updates page, the new primary reason for the petition is to collect 1 million dollars.
Three days before the auction, the fund raising petition deadline is extended for another 17 days. This put Chase Iron Eyes and AIM affiliates collecting funds well beyond the auction date of Aug 25, 2015.
Two days before the auction, the Reynolds cancel the auction without giving a reason for doing so. (Mr. Stanley Crooks in Hospital?)

Our contingency plan at this time, is to put the funds towards purchasing and protecting other_landsthat_may also become available” (note: 5 days before auction, LRI allocates the money if not successful with a purchase, to other lands within Pe Sla. such as Borderlands Ranch?, who as per their webpage, conducts “Spiritual Pilgrimages“ based on Anglican, Lakota, Celtic teachings intermixed. In other words pay to pray ceremonies that includes SunDances and Sweats. The Lutheran Episcopal Reverend is adopted by Rosebud Tribe. Reverand Kramer is conducting a different fund raiser for 120 acres in Pe Sla)

Aug. 23. South Dakota Public Radio: Chase Iron Eyes with Linda Kramer speak about Pe Sal. Chase Iron eyes questioned about creation story and quotes arvol looking horse and follows up on comments about energy that initial speaker Rosalie Little Thunder’s made about energy emitting from Pe Sla. Chase refers to Pe Sla as “our” land and and Does_Not mention the other Nations that have ancestral connections to Pe Sla. Rosalie Little Thunder says the purchase could open up opportunities for the Tribe as in singular, not the Lakota Nation. Linda Kramer says her Ranch is right in the Heart of Pe Sla, “inter faith” and because she is an Episcopal priest she holds Episcopal services just as Lakota Ceremonies are held at the ranch. Kramer mentions she purchased the land at development pricing and the reason it’s market value is in the development status is because one can not make money from ranching. Kramer makes on comments about the “spiritual community” she has been building for 15 yrs. Chase says the Lakota Nation “owns” Pe Sla. Chase speaks about respect from others for Pe Sla. One tribe alone is not the “Nation” was the intent of the petition. LRI’s has consistently stated “for the Lakota Nation”. The reason for Rosebud Tribe receiving the funds for earnest money to secure title, was because not all tribes were in agreement with the purchase criteria which was suppose to have been established according to Chase saying the tribes supported him, i.e he was representing the Lakota Nation.)

Sept 11, API News ;Tribe’s bid accepted for South Dakota land, ROSEBUD | The owners of nearly 2,000 acres of pristine grassland prairie have accepted a $9 million bid by the Rosebud Sioux, tribe President Cyril Scott told The Associated Press. The Rosebud Sioux already has paid $900,000 as an earnest deposit; the remaining $8.1 million is due in November….. An online campaign to help the tribe buy the land raised nearly $390,000. The campaign ended last weekend. (note: 390,000 is before indiegogo fee’s and other fee’s are applied)
The Rosebud Sioux Tribe is looking to see if it can cover the remaining land cost itself, Schmidt said. If not, the cost could be spread among the roughly 20 tribes that make up the Great Sioux Nation,Rosebud secured money for the earnest payment from the Indian Land Tenure Foundation of Little Canada, Minn., and its subsidiary, the Indian Land Capital Co. Foundation President Chris Stainbrook said his organization was contacted by the tribes before the planned auction to see whether they could help them finance a bid.(note: Last week LRI reported 300k was combined with 1.3 million from Rosebud Tribe for an earnest security deposit. the bid acceptance press release today states 900K? The 3 articles published by the Rapid City JournalLocal Newpaper runs articles of spin off of christian demonaitons supporting quest to save Pe Sla while praising Linda Kramer as the great white hope for saving Pe Sla. A World Heritage Site as suggested above in Rezinate’s blog , would not allow the all me mentality to take control of those sacred lands. It would stop the Monarchy structure that is not “inclusive” , such as the mentality and structure of the Monarch’s that cloned into AIM leadership.
Not a good idea to put Pe Sla under the control of “a single” Tribe, when it was utilized by many, which is something Chase Iron Eyes and AIM affiliates fail to mention in their request to the global community, if that land were to go into some common trust between all concerned nations, it would pretty much guarantee the lands would not be used for a pay to pray and play Disney land casino concept , exploiting spirituality and ancestry like a cash crop.
Considering those currently involved with spearheading the money raising campaign , and those they align themselves with, the playground concept is not far fetched for many who understand their mentality and character.

Borderlands Ranch is building a “spiritual community”, i.e people that give financially, back to “Friends of Borderlands” when ever possible or on an annual basis after they return to their day to day life. There should not be anyone making a dollar off of these lands. There should not be any more development on these lands. Pe Sla has been taking care of itself long before any roads, and should be left alone to continue doing so. As for the EIS and upgrading South Rochford Road, tell people ,

i am unable to support the fund raising petition or the funds that have been received, because of the misleading, comments of deception, used in the call to global community for support. Secondary, my confidence level held toward those spearheading the effort was zero from the get go based on their self serving mentality, and now that level has dipped well below zero.
“They”, have desecrated all and everyone involved, while holding “their” stance, it is alright to use underhanded measures.
It is saddening that so many people support, “again”, such a way to thinking and being.

Rosebud disassociates itself from LRI’s Petition
Rosebud Tribes website for LRI’s fund raising petition, put on hold. Why did the Tribe discontinue promoting lastrealindians on the Tribal Website? Does Economic Development agree the request to the global community is deceptive and that the intent for the fund raising should not be changing? As to say “they should_not be changing gears”. It seems the Tribe has concerns about the means at which the call to the global community was presented and has elected not to “publicly” promote LRI .

Reason the Auction was canceled ?
Aug 25, 2012 , one of the supposed key bidders Stanley Crooks, Chairman of the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux (Dakota) in Minnesota moved on. Mr. Crooks was admitted to the hospital not long before the auction date. The Mdewakaton in 2010 and 2011 gave 100 million plus through donations and funding. At least, since early July, Mr. Crooks had dialog with the tribes in the Dakota’s to create an Auction Bid. His health and hospital status could very well have been the reason the Reynolds cancelled the auction 2 days prior to bidding.

The Lakota councils over the last couple of days did a mad rush to the table to get an offer out to the Reynolds, the Reynolds made a counter offer, it sounds as if the Reynolds are doing their best to ensure the Lakota Councils gain title to the acreage up for sale in Pe Sla. Hoping the financial groups can find common ground. 🙂

LeBeau said the tribes had until noon on Monday, August 27 to make an offer to the owners of the lands known as Reynolds Prairie. In a collective effort of several tribes, an offer was made. “So we made our offer hoping, yet not knowing if someone else was higher or lower than us.”
After the offer was made, the owners responded.
“What we were told today is that they came back with a counter offer to all the tribes,” said LeBeau. “This is not the work of one tribe, it is the work of many, many tribes and now we are praying.
It would be great to hear that all Nations of the historical profile of Pe Sla are involved with this transfer of guardianship.

Ken Haukaas , Economic Development Adviser for Rosebud, seems to agree the request to the global community could be conducted differently, as he mentioned “they should_not be changing gears” , and agreed with concerns about the Means at which the call to the global community was presented.
Hopefully the “Singau Lakota Oyate” will recognize what is being generated here, if this continues to unfold on it’s current path, it will become a “deeper” mark of distrust
This much is for certain, if LRI actually had a strong , sound working relationship for the fund raising petition with the “tribes”, as in plural, as Chase and AIM affiliates state they represent, the tribes who are suppose to be involved, should have someone from a tribal department included with the fund raising team with contact information on the petition site.
It is evident Ken is being left in the dark as to the decisions and statements being made to the global community by LRI and AIM affiliates while saying they represent the Lakota Nation.

The petition says the monies donated will go to the “tribes” for purchase of Pe Sla. “IF”, an offer consisting of several tribes is successful, and “IF” there are 8 tribes involved, 320,000 divided among them would equate to $40,000 to each of the 8 tribes.
It would be great if in that bid group, other Nations that have a historical connection to Pe Sla are included, such as the Crow, Cheyenne, etc …
LRI should keep their intent of the petition money collected , to go to all tribes that are involved with the purchase of Pe Sla.

The unofficial coalition of tribes includes the Lakotah, Dakotah, Nakotah, Mandan, Hidatsa, and Sahnish thou it does_not include the Cheyenne, Crow, Arapaho, Blackfoot, Pawnee, etc.., i.e others who have historical ceremonial connections to Pe Sla. These Nations once stood together on these lands, and they should come together again unified on common grounds.
Will the Unity get Stronger ?
It is very difficult to hold a high confidence level that abuse will not occur with these lands changing guardianship because of the likes of lastrealindians and those they are supported by and affiliated with, which includes murders, rapist, liars and cultural,spiritual, tradition Pimps.
That is fact, not an opinion. It would be great to see the GPTCA develop some form of a trust, foundation where all of the GPTCA’s Tribal voices have decision making input for the care and guardianship of the acquired lands and its use, and to incorporate if possible, other Nations such as the Cheyenne, Arapaho, Crow, etc.
As long as the likes of those , who hold such strong stigma attached to their identity are in the mix, a high confidence level of people’s trust will never exist. Why should it?

Rumor has it 9 tribes are involved in a purchase, that earnest money has secured. Today petition funds are at $320,220 , which equates to approx $35,000 each of the 9 will not have to shuck out.
Now the world can watch the self declared so called Sioux leaders, the LRI’s and the Lakota Peoples Law Project, wave their flags, toot their horns, sing their song about saving Pe Sla , when in reality the petition fund raising based on deception and many peculiarities , constitutes for 1/3 of 1 million for the 6-10 million needed.
Aside from aligning themselves with deceiving, murdering, rapist, liars, it is what it is , AIM. But that is O.K, because “It’s for the Good of the Cause”.
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) – The Rosebud Sioux Tribe of South Dakota says it has secured funding for the earnest deposit to buy land in South Dakota’s Black Hills that tribes consider sacred.
Tribes of the Great Sioux Nation consider the nearly 2,000 acres of privately owned land key to their creation story, and members feared new owners would develop the land they call Pe’ Sla. The tribes have been raising money to try to buy the land.
Rosebud Sioux Tribe spokesman Alfred Walking Bull says the tribe is still working out details and more information should be available as early as next week.

In the end, would the Lakota agreeing to “legal title” through purchase, set the precedence that the land assigned to the Lakota by the Treaty is void?

Understanding these concepts of “purchase” , “ownership” and “legal title” for these lands still evade me for some reason, must be another defect I have, but that’s o.k , at least my heart is still intact and still won’t compromise my being 🙂
Devouring of children’s souls before they are 6, was recently mentioned, listen to that Voice and Consider. Since the days of the wk2, more guys accept the act of, taking advantage of children and justify the abuse because of corrupted teachings, creating a path for illness to continue and multiply. The beatings that boys took, the rapes that women had to endure as a result were considered deserving because those youth would not fall in line on a path of self-destruction.

For some reason people today believe it is mandatory to assemble at scheduled times, in order to maintain alignment with “being” human. People who elect not to attend assemblies are often ostracized, pushed aside, set as an example of what not to be. Why is that? It’s a control mechanism, for leaders to keep followers in line and “upright” as per leadership desires and needs.
One can not rid the colonial mindset or continue to point the finger at colonial influence until aspects of “colonial beliefs” are discarded. Colonialism is not the workings of this explorer or that explorer; it is the result of governing bodies (leadership), belief systems and followers.

For years the AIM leadership and Leonard Peltier and their supporters have whined “why is it only Annie Mae appeared to be receiving attention from the authorities.” An interesting question considering that those claiming foul had direct knowledge and information about her murder yet swore to an oath of silence to protect the brotherhood for 36 years. What the public does not clearly understand or know is HOW that “attention” was received. Trust me there were no favors. After sitting dormant for over 20 years with several grand juries that produced no indictments several individuals with a conscience decided they could no longer live with the lies and deceit and stepped up and spoke the truth. It is as simple as that.
In 1976 authorities interviewed over 200 individuals, all who knew Annie Mae and NOT ONE of them would agree to testify or speak about what happened to Annie Mae. It doesn’t take much to imagine how impossible it is to hold a trial without eyewitness testimony. If the marginalization and racism reports were accurate, it should also be no surprise that the authorities back then didn’t steamroll Annie Maes’ murder investigation to the fore front however that does not excuse or carry the weight of responsibility in the delays considering that there were over 23 witnesses who watched my mothers’ 72 hour death march unfold before their eyes and remained silent for decades. I am grateful that some managed to gain the courage to finally speak the truth.
When we first started campaigning for my mother’s justice I was very critical of the authorities for not doing more. I instinctively initially bought into the popular native resistance mantra that all government was corrupt and evil. Trust me with whom my mother was as a human being and the life she lived there was no one more critical of the government than I. I was determined if this was a case of neglect on their part I would prove it. Unfortunately very quickly I was met with controversy of the worst kind from those my mother at one time had referred to as friends and family. After 16 years, I now had to accept that after confirming the truth, from those closest to her spiritually and physically, John Trudell, Dino Butler, NIlak Butler, Robert Robideau and ultimately Arlo Looking Cloud and learning of the level of conspiracy and deceit exercised by the AIM leadership and Peltier with their diversionary tactics, how could the authorities do anything more without witnesses? From my point of view the Aim leadership and Peltier had now become extensions to the original offending government. How awkward to learn that the silence and lack of movement in my mother’s case had little to do with government conspiracy and more to do with blood being thicker than water. Annie Mae was Mikmaq from another country, with no family ties to the Lakota territory and for all intents and purposes was an outsider.
My mothers’ Justice was not about pitting one native against each other, it was about truth and justice unconditionally as it should be when you are dealing with truth and justice. Those who conspired to hide the truth that it was in fact AIM members who took her life made it an NDN vs NDN issue. My mother’s murder was treated like a dirty little secret in NDN country while the cowards who took her life sang her accolades from their podiums and justice pages in their attempts to divert any focus on their responsibility in enabling and facilitating the murder of one of their own women by their own AIM members. It is no wonder NDN country was so confused.
During the discovery process that took 10 years, we were not at liberty to discuss the testimony and information we learned during this time for obvious reasons. However that did not stop the AIM leadership and Peltier from posturing themselves as victims and warriors of yesteryear and focusing on ridiculous facets of my mother’s murder to raise question and controversy amongst the masses. From questioning her hands being cut off (she did not die from having her hands cut off!) to when she was last seen (another Aimtastical invention to distract from the fact that 23 people witnessed her being kidnapped, and marched off to her death) to rumors of pie patrol retaliation (because clearly everyone knows you receive a death penalty for infidelity in NDN country. I would be doing a head count on all of Banks mistresses to confirm that) to questioning rape charges (which was revealed during testimony but was never an issue since the statutes of limitations had expired, but Grahams supporters felt that proving that he didn’t rape her must mean he didn’t kill her…..okayyy)
We also are now aware of threats of retaliation some women received if they spoke my mother’s name 25 years ago, which made some prisoners in their own communities. I have received at least a dozen emails over the last 5 years from women who said their babies lives were used as a very effective gag for decades for a few of the eye witnesses. These women had just witnessed the killing of one of their own group members by men that they now had to live with in a remote community during a time where there was no trust in the authorities. I can’t say I would have made the same choices nor can I say that I blame them for the choices they made. It demonstrates the lawless corrupt climate that existed during these very tumultuous times.
If any of us are to believe and hope in a future of survival for any of our nations it is imperative we exemplify unconditional truth to our youth and teach them that killing one of your own women is not something that is just swept under the rug and ignored because there were bigger fish to fry. Regardless of how long ago it occurred, justice is justice, especially when those who are the facilitators still posture themselves as champions of justice and resistance in our communities today. That is just plain hypocritical. Which is exactly the lesson the AIM leadership and Peltier gave to our youth each and every day till the truth was revealed.
My mother received justice because individuals like Paul DeMain and Bob Branscombe took it upon themselves to investigate and ask questions; because several individuals knew if there was ever going to be a shift in ndn country in how justice was served and validated now was as good a time as any to step up to the plate; because her family would not accept what happened to Annie Mae as a matter of consequence. We can’t say what other people would do for their own family member that is their decision, but we would help them in any way we could if they asked. Dennis Banks, Russell Means, Clyde Bellecourt or Leonard Peltier never did anything to campaign for my mother’s justice, unless you consider Clyde’s reckless dare to Paul DeMain to investigate the murder of Annie Mae in 1994.
At the end of the day the AIM leadership and Peltier have lied to NDN country for 36 years that it was the feds who murdered Annie Mae, when in fact it was AIM members who kidnapped, interrogated and murdered Annie Mae. After three trials, two guilty pleas and the eyewitness testimony of over 23 witnesses proving that fact, AIM leadership and Peltier now support her murderers saying that the government made them murder Annie Mae?? Spending the last 16 years campaigning for my mother’s justice in a storm of BS lies and deception, has confirmed one very valuable lesson for me. The truth always prevails.
I have stood on the side lines for many years weighing out my options and gagging my words by the amount of verbal abuse and personal attacks I was willing to take behind the scenes each time I spoke publicly. I have been called traitor, fed, pig, vengeful, hateful, diversionary, grief-stricken and a liar for speaking the truth and demanding FULL justice for my mother. I am putting my mothers murderers, the AIM leadership, Leonard Peltier and their sympathizers on notice. IT STOPS HERE. I will NOT UNITE with murderers who have the blood of one of their own women on their hands, until those who conspired to hide the truth for 36 years are exposed and dealt with.

Reviewed a trailer for this film, and noted it presents distant historical profiles of government and belief systems atrocities, which is well acknowledged and recognized as wrongs in that distant past from the oppressing entities. Douglas White’s family members testimony led to his conviction. If their testimony was actually false at the time, why portray in this film the cause of their behavior is from the distant past, when the family members mentality, character and world views were shaped by teachings given to them in present time, by the likes of people in this film ?
If their testimony was actually false, they should all be charged with perjury and held accountable for their actions that placed Mr. White into jail where he died, in place of trying to evade the responsibility by saying “The Devil (government) made me do it”. They have been taught well.
When one digs into the layers of recent changes in Lakota Spirituality and Ceremony, it is obvious current bastardized teachings by AIM over the last 35 years have failed miserably for too many people. The failure of positive social growth based on current spirituality is the result of people like CrowDog, Arvol Looking Horse, Russell Means and other affiliates who are portrayed in this movie as advocates for 1st nations people, when in reality their agenda’s have been and continue to be predominately self serving. What a sad attempt to pass off accountability and responsibility of current social, spiritual degradation by pointing the finger at the government and other belief systems “again”.
Perhaps someday people will start looking under the deceptions and realize there are many voices that understand these attempts to continue promoting the illness that those in this film perpetrate. Those many voices will continue to put out the self serving bastardized fires. These actions do not make money for producers or anyone else, thou it does ensure the survival of ancestors voices. no? Quit pointing the finger at the distant past, and recognize what is occurring now and start looking at who’s current teachings are accepted and being followed.

Real “holy”, spiritual movement being reflected by the youth that is generated by the teachings from those who are suppose to be voices and role models for 1st nations people. The developed mindset of the youth displayed in the above perpetrates self genocide.

Those kids and others that follow and allow that illness to get under their skin, haven’t a chance with any form of healing, or moving forward in an upwardly mobile fashion. It only creates more oppression and destruction for all concerned.
